• Monitoring and initiation of invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilators in Intensive Care Units Emergency Departments and General Wards for adults and pediatric patients.)
• Inspect, clean, test and maintain respiratory therapy equipment to ensure its reliability and functioning safely and efficiently, ordering repairs when necessary.

• Responsible for assisting patients on portable ventilators during transport and diagnostic procedures.
• Teaching for homecare patients with respiratory equipment such as different types of Bi-PAP/ CPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, and suction machines.

• Responsibilities are to assist in the care of patients with respiratory diseases (i.e., Asthma, Chronic and Acute Bronchitis, COPD, Emphysema, Pneumonia, Lung Cancer etc.) 
• Provide emergency care, including artificial respiration, external cardiac massage and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. 
• Obtain Arterial Blood Gases on adults and pediatric patients, provide nebulizer treatments, assist to intubate patients, ventilator adjustments and troubleshooting, perform weaning procedures, doing Bronchial Hygiene Techniques, and bedside spirometry. 
• Determine requirements for treatment such as type, method, and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken, and medication and dosages compatible with the physician’s orders.
