GENESSE AGUILAR

I am a versatile, innovative and hardworking. I am a supportive teacher who is passionate in making a difference in the lives of my students. I am a teacher at Isabela National High School - Senior High School, District of Isabela 1, Division of Negros Occidental since 2019 until today. 
My main aim in teaching is to transfer 21st century knowledge and skills to my students to successfully prepare them to be globally competitive citizens. With that, I also need to equip myself with those skills so I pursued my post graduate degree.
Also, I am the ICT Coordinator of our school which is a good avenue for me to share my expertise in the field of ICT. I also believe that teaching is a never ending process, so I also join in workshops and seminars which are beneficial for my personal and professional growth. Moreover, I actively participate in the School and District Innovation and Research programs since 2021.
I am looking forward to share my knowledge and skills to your school.

I am a hardworking, innovative, and a supportive teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of my students. I am, Genesse T. Aguilar, a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines. Currently, I am teaching Senior High School students aiming to transfer 21st century knowledge and skills to successfully prepare them to be globally competitive citizens. 
I’ve been teaching in both Grade 11 and Grade 12 school since 2019. My main role inside the classroom is to deliver the instructions or lessons in my major subjects - Social Science and Information, Communications Technology subjects. These subjects are Understanding Culture, Society and Politics, 21st Century Literature and Political and Governance. Also, I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, so as part of being a flexible teacher, I also teach subjects under Information, Communications Technology like Media and Information Literacy and Empowerment Technologies. As a teacher, I can say that I am well-versed in the use of technology inside and outside the classroom. Technology integration helps me to capture the attention of my students and even make them to be more participative during the class. I am skillful in using desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones. I am skillful in using applications like MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Quizzes, Edmodo, Photoroom for editing pictures, Wondershare Filmora for editing videos and audios, and Canva for designing and creating infographics.  I also know how to troubleshoot the printer and the devices that I am using incase of some unforeseen events happens, like equipment malfunction. During the pandemic, where distance learning was made possible with the aid of these applications and the internet, I also utilized Zoom and Google Meet to meet my students and conduct classes.
Also, as a teacher, I believe that I need to be innovative in my profession. In the past 2 successive years, I joined in the innovation showdown held at our district, competing with other teachers from other schools. I also joined the research workshop and submitted my research proposal which went through series of screening process and was successfully approved to be implemented by the regional office. As a teacher, I believe that I cannot teach what I do not have. With that, we partnered with Technical University of the Philippines – Visayas for the conduct of 3D Printing Training which later on was conducted to our students and I was the lead proponent and speaker of the training. Last December 9, 2022, I also finished my Masters Degree in Education, Major in Social Studies at the University of St La Salle – Bacolod. Late in November, I was also awarded as one of the Most Outstanding Teacher in our Division.
