I am Jamaica Mae Lagamo, a 24-year-old professional from the Philippines with a diverse background in customer service and education. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. I spent one year working as a barista at Starbucks, where I developed strong communication skills, a positive work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Currently, I work as an English Language Teacher at Native Camp, where I enjoy helping students improve their skills and gain confidence in using the language. My experiences in both fields have strengthened my adaptability, patience, and passion for connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

English Language Teacher - NativeCamp

• Teach English lessons to Japanese students of various ages and levels (beginner to advanced).
• Help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Handle student bookings and be ready for sudden (immediate) lessons if needed.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement.

Barista - Starbucks

•  Aspiring ‘Coffee Master’ of Starbucks Philippines, and was enrolled in the program.
• Assisted and handled different projects at the 271 Starbucks Boracay store, including the Food and Pastry Team, Food Safety Assessment Team, and Marketing Team.
• Extensively trained in and memorized drink recipes and store operation standards.
• Knowledgeable in the use and functions of the Mastrena espresso machine.
• Executed cash handling and basic POS system operations.
• Delivering customer service with adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
• Maintained a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and customers.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at Garcia College of Technology, graduating in the 2023–2024 academic year. My academic experience has provided me with a strong foundation in customer service, operations, and communication, all of which support my current role and professional growth.
