Norlyn Carcasona

Accomplished and energetic Gymnastics & Cheerleading coach with a history of achievement in working with and teaching children of various ages. Motivated with organizational and prioritization abilities. Areas of expertise include teaching, demonstrating and problem solving.

I have a background as a Gymnast and a professional Cheerleader, having had the opportunity to participate in the prestigious International Cheer Union (ICU Worlds) competition held in Orlando, Florida, USA, in 2015. I am proud to share that our team achieved a commendable bronze medal in this esteemed event. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, specializing in Sports and Wellness Management.

Following my college graduation, I embarked on a career as a recreational Coach at Club Gymnastica Pasig, Philippines, where I coached gymnastics across different age groups. I also took on the role of a cheerleading coach. Subsequently, I had the privilege of joining Amicassa Process Solutions Inc. as an Admin Assistant.

Due to the impact of the ongoing pandemic, I made the decision to relocate to a province and pursue freelance work. As a home-based freelancer, I assumed the position of a Data Entry - Virtual Assistant. With the gradual easing of protocols in 2022, activities began returning to normalcy. Currently, I am engaged in teaching gymnastics through private sessions, participating in cheerleading activities, and continuing my work in data entry.

Throughout my high school years, I was consistently recognized as the recipient of the "Athlete of the Year" award at the end of each academic year. My involvement extended to various disciplines, including Power Dancing, Cheerdancing, and, notably, gymnastics. In 2013, I successfully completed my education at the University of the Immaculate Conception in Davao City.

During my college years, I was fortunate to be awarded a full scholarship based on my exceptional performance in gymnastics. As a dedicated student-athlete, I devoted myself wholeheartedly to both my studies and athletic pursuits, eventually transitioning into a professional cheerleading career. As a valued member of the esteemed NU Pep Squad, my team consistently emerged victorious in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the largest cheer-dance competition in our country.

The pinnacle of our achievements came in 2015 when we had the honor of representing our university and country at the prestigious International Cheer Union (ICU Worlds) competition in Orlando, Florida, USA. I am immensely proud to share that our team secured a notable bronze medal in this highly regarded event, further affirming our dedication and skill.

Upon completing my education at National University, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, specializing in Sports and Wellness Management.
