With over 19 years of experience in Dynamics NAV/Business Central development, I am confident in my ability to excel in this role. While my experience is primarily within the retail environment, I also possess three years of experience with the standard Navision ERP system.

I served as a technical lead for the migration of Nav2009 to Microsoft Business Central 23 (LS Retail), overseeing all aspects from database migration to program code migration, including the Gift Voucher Management system, 100 reports, Self Checkout system, and role centers tailored to specific employee roles. I successfully addressed major bugs that arose during the initial implementation of the upgraded programs.

My experience has cultivated my ability to build strong relationships with all departments within an organization. I am proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within and across teams.
 

Work as a Technical Lead to upgrade and maintain the LS Retail POS system from Nav2009 to Business Central 23 (LS Retail POS).

1. Tasks included :

• Migrated some Nav2009 coding into Business Central 23 
• Involved in the data migration
• Manage to upgrade over 100 reports from Nav2009 to Business Central 23 (LS Retail POS)
• Develop a comprehensive Gift Voucher function that track/update the status (e.g. Transfer, Blocked, Sold, Redeemed or Extended) of the voucher using web services.
• Develop new Role Centers that is specific for each user function.
• Migrated the Nav2009 self checkout functions to LS Business Central 23.

Worked as a developer to develop an apps that can be downloaded directy from Business Central Extension MarketPlace.

1. Tasks included:

• Develop an apps that is called Active Budget Check that works on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform and allows to actively compare the budget with the expenditure or purchase transaction used for the financial year.
• Develop a test tool for the new apps

Worked as a developer to migrate the client legacy POS system to Business Central 14.0 (LS Retail POS).

1. Tasks included:

• Customize some standard Business Central 14.0 (LS Retail POS) to suit to client requirements
• Carried out data migration from legacy system to Business Central 14.0 (LS Retail POS)
• Develop a module to integrate the POS system into Nets credit card machine 
• Develop a Self Check Out system
• Implement the new POS system into 3 different countries (Singapore, UAE and Malaysia)

Work as a developer to upgrade and maintain the LS Retail POS system from Navision 3.70 to Nav2009.

1. Tasks included :

• Upgrade of the database and program coding migration 
• Involved in the data migration
• Fixing some major bugs that comes out during the initial implementation of the upgraded programs
• Optimised some of the codes that are very slow (e.g. discount calculation from 1min to 5sec).
• Develop a module to integrate the POS system into Nets credit card machine

Worked as a developer on a team of 5 to migrate the client legacy system to Navision 4.0.

1. Tasks included:

• Re-design of standard Navision database to suit to the clients requirements.
• Carried out data migration from legacy system to Navision 4.0
• Develop a new functionality to have a level approval to existing Purchase, Sales, Transfer Order module
• Develop a new Project module that allows the client to invoice their customer based on task or work that they have completed

Worked as a developer on a team of 3 to migrate the client legacy system to SyteLine ERP system.

1. Tasks included:

• Re-design of standard SyteLine ERP database to suit to the clients requirements.
• Carried out data migration from legacy system to SyteLine ERP System
• Develop a new functionality to have a level approval to existing Purchase, Sales, Transfer Order module

Worked as a developer on a team of 10 to customize SyteLine ERP system to suit our overseas customers requirements.
