- Compile necessary information, including patient demographics, insurance information, provider details, and procedural codes
- Analyze, prepare, and submit medical claims to the appropriate insurance payers through our electronic billing system
- Assign and enter appropriate CPT codes and diagnosis codes to the CMS 1500 claim form
- Monitor the status of submitted claims to identify any rejections or processing delays, and take appropriate action to resolve issues and resubmit claims
- Review and ensure all required documentation has been received from the facility and provider
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding to track trends, identify patterns, and implement process improvements
- Perform thorough research and analysis to determine payer requirements and billing guidelines
- Participate in internal meetings and training to improve knowledge and stay updated with industry changes
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, denial management or accounts receivable follow-up may apply
- Proficient in medical coding systems and terminology, such as CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
- Strong knowledge of insurance and payer guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and resolve conflicts efficiently
- Contributions to PhilHealth, SSS, and Pag-IBIG
