    Our client is a US-based company specializing in Finance, Accounting, and HR support services. They provide a comprehensive suite of outsourcing and consulting solutions designed to enhance performance and drive productivity across diverse industries.

    About the Role

    Our client is growing and seeking a highly experienced Consulting Assistant Controller to join their team. In this role, you will support multiple small to mid-sized client companies ($5–100M) in a dynamic, multi-client consulting environment.

    This position requires a balance of hands-on transactional accounting and strategic financial oversight. You will manage day-to-day financial operations, lead the monthly close, prepare financial statements, and collaborate directly with client leadership teams. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, thrives in changing environments, communicates impeccably in English, and can handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.

    Responsibilities

    Transactional, Day-to-Day Accounting

    • Generate weekly invoices and manage the accounts receivable cycle
    • Generate weekly or biweekly vendor payments
    • Process payroll using various payroll providers
    • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
    • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
    • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in invoicing, accounts payable, and payroll processing

    Full Accounting Cycle & Financial Reporting

    • Manage the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction processing
    • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements
    • Assist and/or lead the monthly close process
    • Provide timely and precise financial data to support broader accounting operations

    Financial Planning & Client Support

    • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets to support client goals
    • Support strategic planning initiatives through financial modeling and analysis
    • Partner with internal teams and client leadership, building strong professional relationships
    • Manage multiple, varied client engagements simultaneously

    Competencies and Qualifications

    Must-Have

    Experience:

    • 5–10 years as an Assistant Controller, Controller, Finance Manager, Sr. Accountant, or similar role
    • Experience in a multi-client or consulting environment strongly preferred
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)

    Accounting Systems:

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks (required), plus experience with Xero, NetSuite, Sage, or other mid-market accounting systems

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
    • Skilled in managing the full accounting cycle and preparing financial statements

    Communication:

    • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal

    Nice-to-Have

    • CPA, CA, or similar certification (or progress toward certification)
    • QuickBooks Certification
    • Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, data analysis)
    • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
