What will you do?

In this position you support the delivery of human-centred, sustainable and technically excellent geotechnical and geological solutions that help our clients shape resilient infrastructure and communities across New Zealand and the wider region.

As part of Aurecon's Global Design Centre, the role partners closely with multidisciplinary teams to transform field and investigation data into meaningful geological insights and models that inform safe, efficient and innovative design outcomes. Through strong collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning, the role contributes to Aurecon's Design to Innovate mindset—bringing clarity to complexity, supporting informed decision-making, and enhancing the client experience across the full project life cycle.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecon's business globally. Here are the key things you will do:

• Bring deep expertise across a range of professional and scientific disciplines including environmental science, ecology, geology, hydrology, transport and urban planning, architecture and design.
• Provide services and solutions across the program and project life cycle phases; from planning and shaping, to designing and building, through to operating and closing and transitioning.
• Maintain and leverage relationships with prospective and existing clients to bring the best of Aurecon's deep technical capability and expertise to clients.
• Extend and provide relevant insights to analysis and modelling outputs.
• Developing skills in their area of professional or scientific discipline.
• Developing broad skills in research and analysis, modelling and project management fundamentals.

What can you bring to the team?

• Relevant certificate/ diploma or degree
• Experience in subsurface geological modelling using
  Leapfrog
  software (3D)
• Proven experience in geotechnical site investigation works particularly in logging of soil and rocks
• Proficiency in
  GIS
  platforms, such as using
  ArcGIS Pro or QGIS
  , for mapping and integration with geotechnical datasets

Good to have:

• Skilled in identification and assessment of geotechnical and geological risks
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent attention to details
• Familiarity with OpenGround software is a plus
