Associate Accountant (Middle & Back Office)
**Responsibilities:
Middle & Back Office Support**
- Gather financial data such as broker reports, custodian statements, and recurring expense supports (legal, audit, admin, tax, director fees, etc.).
- Price fund investments using external sources (for Geneva clients).
- Upload daily trades, dividends, interest, corporate actions, and cash activity into the portfolio accounting system.
- Prepare daily equity, cash, and position reconciliations; investigate and resolve breaks.
- Update financial reports including trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, capital allocations, management fee schedules, and performance reports.
- Ensure accurate partner allocations, management/performance fees, expense accruals, and income classifications.
- Verify accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and YTD returns for each partner.
- Maintain well‑organized working papers with proper labels and notes.
- Prepare reporting packages for review.
- Enter accounting‑related transactions for Geneva clients with complete supporting documentation.
- Monitor client mailboxes and file important emails and documents promptly.
- Handle ad hoc client requests (e.g., distributions, drawdowns).
- Prepare wire entries for clients using Cash Control services.
- Perform peer review of investor statements as needed.
Audit Support
- Prepare audit-ready working papers and schedules (cash recs, cost roll‑forward, cash flows, financial highlights).
- Draft fund financial statements and coordinate directly with auditors on disclosures.
- Submit draft financial statements for review on time.
- Manage workload and meet critical deadlines.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with other non-operations tasks as assigned by senior team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
- CPA or CA preferred.
- At least 1 year of financial accounting or related experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting procedures.
- Highly analytical and detail‑oriented.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexible with work hours to meet business needs.
