We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Support Specialist with strong technical expertise and excellent English communication skills to support internal database operations.
This is a full-time, onsite night shift role based in GH Tower, San Juan, Greenhills.The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL, the ability to troubleshoot database issues efficiently, and the confidence to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical internal stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesWrite, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries
Manage and maintain database systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Investigate and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
Perform query optimization and basic performance tuning
Support data migration activities
Maintain data security and confidentiality standards
Generate reports to support analysis and decision-making
Provide clear technical updates to internal stakeholders and business teams
Required Qualifications:
Strong SQL Proficiency (Required)
Intermediate to Advanced SQL query writing (joins, subqueries, aggregations)
Strong understanding of relational databases
Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms
Strong English Communication Skills (Required)
Ability to clearly explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable communicating in a professional internal support environment
Technical Skills
Database management and troubleshooting
Experience resolving data-related issues
Understanding of data security and confidentiality protocols
Experience in report creation and data analysis
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Preferred
Previous experience in database support or SQL-focused roles
Experience working with international teams
