Job summary
The Cadence Rx Clinical Reviewer performs the review of New York State (NYS) Level 1 Medication Prior Authorization Requests (PAR) and submits coverage determinations into the New York State Workers' Compensation Board (WCB)Responsibilities
- Make clinical determinations to approve or deny medication prior authorization requests based on evidence-based guidelines
- Evaluation of medical necessity and appropriateness of care
- Work in designated queues to complete business-related tasks
- Assign all new incoming level 1 PAR requests to the team
