Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the overall purchasing operations of the company.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, particularly from the food and agri-business industry.
- Process purchase requests and ensure timely ordering of food-related materials and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Warehouse and Production for stock requirements.
- Handle urgent purchase needs and be willing to go out for supplier visits or emergency procurement when necessary.
- Compare prices, prepare purchase orders, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, and documentation.
- Prepare and submit purchasing reports (weekly/monthly) to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related course.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in purchasing, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience dealing with agri-business suppliers and food products is required.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Handle urgent purchasing requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office and purchasing/inventory systems.
