    Role Overview

    The Assistant Merchandise Manager - Commercial Food Retail Dry Food is responsible for supporting Commercial Food Retail Dry Food to ensure all sales, stock and prices reports are effectively organized. The role needs to conduct analysis of Commercial Food Retail Dry Food performance to create action plans for improving sales of existing and new Commercial Food Retail Dry Food items and coordinate with other divisions to effectively manage space, promotion, and stocks to achieve budgeted sales and profit.

    Major Responsibilities:

    1. Generate reports and analyze the sales and profitability of products by store and buyer.
    2. Manage purchasing and sourcing assortment.
    3. Daily update on sales data and quarterly summarization of total sales performance.
    4. Analyze and identify the causes of sales shortfalls and areas for improvement.
    5. Ensure sufficient stocks of new products for promotional activities or special displays.
    6. Ensure the smooth management of imported stock, minimizing shortages and delivery delays.
    7. Provide an up-to-date data bank for products by encoding articles and supplier data into the computerized system.
    8. Analyze the results of promotions and provide guidance to buyers for improvement.
    9. Analyze sales of products by customer group to identify unmet customer needs for product development.
    10. Prepare financial analysis to provide information to buyers, including reviewing product performance, profitability, potential development, market share, and recommending additional space or deletion.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, international business administration, or any related field.
    2. Minimum 2-3 years' experience in sourcing or buying experience in retail business would be a plus advantage.
    3. Strong negotiation skills and a good sense of Merchandising.
    4. Proactive, positive thinking and can-do attitude.
    5. Multi-tasking, quick response, and can work under pressure.
    6. Resulted and details oriented.
    7. Good command of English.
