Job summary
Lead teams when required to investigate and repair fiber optic related faults in a timely manner and as directed by the Network Operations Center NOC Respond to service level incidents repairs and fault rectification on a 24/7 rostered basis Raises concerns and reports problems that may affect their work properly and states their concerns clearly Assists members of the public regarding inquiries by giving basic information ensuring they are put in touch with an account management contact Identifies ways to solve challenging installs encourage team members to discuss it after the activity to develop their problem solving skills Ensure timeliness of appointments liaise with customers site owners building management internal teams ensure customer expectations or met or exceeded Actively participate in project kick offs walk thru have proper endorsement Building Admin Maintenance Engineer be aware house rules implemented site Identify areas for process improvement solutions implement Ensure proper handling documentation safety inventory items carried out Review check documentation uploaded created other Team Members correct them needed Creates reports project updates direct reporting line Executive Management Perform QA assigned project create report submitted Site Ops Manager Push team members log site activities time consumables materials fills tools checklist prior day activities Ensure documentation field notes stored networked sites buildings proper documentation test results Develop as built plan uploaded Podio Google Drive Can trusted complete work supervision take responsibility work items Encourages others complete projects time quality Makes sound decisions onsite can back logical reasoning asked Lead activities discussing Fiber Techs tasks day ensure activities implemented according standards tools used correctly Supervise fiber technicians ensures installs follows standards tools being used correctly Can guide mentor train teach internal external teams quality standards techniques fiber optic network equipment installation Assist Project Coordinator punch listing rectify QA recommendation Update Port FDB Spreadsheet every successful client install Escalate Engineering Manager any project blocker issues onsite Ensure all materials needed install available fill material checklist form submitted Work safely accordance applicable safety guidelines directives Reminds team members wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE at times Ensures tools checked prevent safety issues Ensure OHS standards met exceeded Monitor movement inventory based Inventory List order additional supplies needed Conduct performance evaluations Team Members implement disciplinary action appraisal necessary>
