Job Summary

The Lead for Backup & Storage oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data storage and recovery systems. You will lead a team of engineers to ensure data integrity, manage high-capacity storage arrays (SAN/NAS), and execute disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy: Design and architect scalable enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage) and backup frameworks (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup).
Team Leadership: Act as a technical mentor and "Line Manager" lite; managing shift schedules, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing the technical growth of junior sysadmins.
Performance Optimization: Monitor storage utilization, perform capacity planning, and tune backup windows to ensure zero impact on production environments.
Disaster Recovery (DR): Lead regular DR drills and failover testing. Ensure the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) meet business requirements.
Cloud Integration: Manage hybrid-cloud storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob) and oversee "Cloud-to-Cloud" backup migrations.
Compliance & Security: Ensure all backups are encrypted and compliant with local data privacy laws (e.g., Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012).

Required Qualifications

Experience: 7 years in IT Infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SAN/NAS protocols (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS). Hands-on experience with deduplication and snapshot technologies. Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) backup agents.
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering. Relevant certifications: Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.

Work Schedule

Employees will be expected to adhere to a flexible hybrid work schedule, with a required presence in the office for 1 day per week, allowing for customization of work hours within a specified morning or mid-shift time frame.
