Position Title: SENIOR REACT NATIVE ENGINEER

About the role

• The purpose of the Senior React Native Engineer is to lead the development and optimisation of the company's mobile applications, ensuring millions of users have an exceptional audio experience across iOS and Android platforms.
• We are looking for a React Native Engineer with strong experience building cross-platform mobile applications and hands-on experience developing native Android apps using Kotlin. The role requires a solid understanding of Android platform components and integrating native functionality within React Native applications.
• As the application continues to grow as Australia's fastest-growing audio destination for radio, podcasts, music, and sport, this senior role will be instrumental in building innovative mobile experiences that set industry standards. The position sits within our technology team, directly contributing to company's digital transformation strategy and our mission to deliver premium audio content anytime, anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and optimisation of the mobile apps using React Native
• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance mobile solutions for iOS and Android platforms
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and establishing best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver features from concept to release
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in mobile development, recommending strategic technology decisions
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to industry standards
• Optimise app performance, ensuring seamless audio streaming and user experience
• Contribute to native module development and third-party integrations
• Participate in technical planning and sprint ceremonies as part of agile development processes

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive commercial experience building iOS and Android apps with React Native
• Strong commercial experience in native Android development (Kotlin/Java)
• Advanced understanding of mobile app architectures, performance optimization, and usability principles
• Proven experience with native modules and complex third-party integrations
• Demonstrated expertise in audio/media applications, streaming technologies, or entertainment platforms
• Experience with Expo framework and modern React Native development tools
• Knowledge of HLS streaming, Chromecast, CarPlay/Android Auto integration preferred

Work Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
• Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
• Status: Full-time Employment or Contractual engagement
