    The Department Head – Innovation Center of Excellence supports the Innovation CoE Head in driving the Bank's innovation agenda by managing day-to-day execution of innovation programs, ensuring operational excellence, and enabling cross-functional collaboration.

    This role focuses on program delivery, capability building, and portfolio execution, ensuring that innovation initiatives translate into measurable business improvements.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Translate the CoE's innovation strategy into executable departmental plans
    • Manage the implementation of key innovation programs, pilots, and capability initiatives
    • Support prioritization and governance activities led by the Innovation CoE Head
    • Lead execution of assigned innovation projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and KPIs are met
    • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate strategic risks to the CoE Head
    • Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership review
    • Facilitate adoption of agile, lean, and innovation practices across business units.
    • Drive process improvements and support transformation squads/pillars in execution
    • Collaborate with Process Transformation, Data, and CX groups to ensure alignment
    • Deliver training, bootcamps, workshops, and innovation labs
    • Curate materials, toolkits, and frameworks to support enterprise capability building
    • Supervise, coach, and develop Innovation Officers and project team members
    • Support talent development
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
    • Define program-level KPIs and track business benefits
    • Collect and analyze program data to improve decision-making and ROI visibility
    • Ensure high-quality delivery and output
    • Manage departmental budgets allocated to innovation programs and capability initiatives
    • Ensure cost-efficient use of resources and vendor engagements
    • Identify and mitigate operational and delivery risks within assigned projects
    • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, governance, and reporting standards

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in any business related course
    • Certification on Process excellence or Agile is a plus
    • 10 years experience in innovation, transformation, or strategy leadership roles
    • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide innovation programs
    • Solid understanding of organizational transformation concepts and frameworks, with the ability to support and execute approved transformation initiatives within assigned scope
    • Strong working knowledge of Agile and Lean practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and their application within teams and cross-functional program
    • Working knowledge of innovation portfolio management and governance models, with the ability to support prioritization and execution of approved initiatives
    • Practical knowledge of change management principles and techniques to support adoption and behavioral change at the team and department level
    • Proficiency in managing multiple projects or programs, ensuring delivery against timelines, scope, and success metrics
    • Ability to support process improvement and operational excellence initiatives through analysis, facilitation, and implementation
    • Strong applied knowledge of design thinking tools and methods for problem-solving, service improvement, and solution development
    • General awareness of emerging technologies (e.g., automation, AI, digital platforms) and their potential application in innovation initiatives
    • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to influence at C-suite level
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Solid interpersonal and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Innovative mindset with the ability to think creatively and problem-solve
