    Role Overview

    The Treasury Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the company's cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk. This role ensures that funds are available to meet operational and strategic needs, while optimizing liquidity, investments, and financing activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for cash administration activities to minimize the organization's exposure to credit, interest, and foreign exchange risk.
    • Cash flow monitoring and reporting
    • Hedging for interest rate, currency and commodity risk, determining counter-party risk, etc.
    • Corporate finance structure and funding (e.g., funding sources and instruments, capital structure, dividend program, investment appraisal, portfolio management, etc.)
    • Stakeholder relations related to external funding
    • Monitor daily cash balances, ensure sufficient liquidity, and manage fund transfers.
    • Coordinate with banks for deposits, withdrawals, foreign exchange transactions, and other treasury services.
    • Assist in evaluating short-term investment opportunities to maximize returns while maintaining security and liquidity.
    • Support in managing loan facilities, repayments, and compliance with debt covenants.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency and interest rate exposures.
    • Prepare cash flow forecasts and analyze variances to support financial planning.
    • Generate treasury reports for management, including cash positions, investment performance, and funding requirements.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements in all treasury activities.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to treasury systems, processes, and controls.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
    • Professional qualifications (CPA, CFA) are an advantage.
    • Minimum 2 to 3 years in related field
    • Background and experience in large format retail
    • Experience in treasury, corporate finance, or financial management roles.
    • Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity, and financial instruments.
    • Experience managing banking relationships and payment processes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • High attention to detail and strong control mindset.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with treasury management systems (TMS).
    • Knowledge of FX and interest rate hedging.
    • Experience in multinational or multi-currency environments.
    • Exposure to debt financing and capital markets.
