Job summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing and shipping materials supplies tools equipment and parts in stockroom warehouse or yard by performing the following duties Reviews inbound appointment log and open order report each day in order to plan work activities Plans inbound and outbound schedules accordingly to meet customer metrics Manages staffing needs based on workload and schedules staff accordingly Assigns workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules Reviews updates operational procedures as necessary ensures they are communicated to understood by the warehouse associates Tracks productivity KPIs Works with Inventory Control to ensure highest level of inventory accuracy possible Manages payroll department Advises employees on handling items received stored shipped methods use equipment handling storing maintaining shipping stock related problems Traces history items determine reasons discrepancies between inventory stock control records recommends remedial actions resolve discrepancies Manages work procedures prepares work schedules expedites workflow Issues written oral instructions Ensures proper safety procedures followed Maintains harmony among workers resolves grievances Directly supervises employees area Operations Carries out supervisory Duties accordance organization policies applicable laws.
