    As a Detailer, you'll convert architectural drawings into engineered steel framing designs for residential and commercial projects using ProCAD and/or Vertex BD. You'll draft wall frames, floor systems, trusses and structural steel elements, producing accurate, buildable and efficient framing solutions for our clients.

    Working closely with external engineers, builders and internal production teams, you'll help ensure every design considers engineering certification, downstream trades and manufacturing optimisation — from early design right through to CNC-ready shop files.

    This role suits someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, spatial design, and turning construction concepts into real-world outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Develop framing designs using ProCAD and/or Vertex BD


    • Draft wall frames, trusses, floor systems and structural steel


    • Prepare designs for external engineering certification


    • Produce shop drawings for roll-form CNC manufacturing and assembly


    • Maintain disciplined version control and documentation


    • Create bills of quantities and assist purchasing & estimating


    • Produce pack/stack plans for transport and site delivery

    Requirements

    We're looking for someone who brings:

    CAD drafting experience (Vertex BD, ProCAD, FrameCAD or similar)

    Ability to interpret architectural & construction drawings

    Strong 3D spatial reasoning and creative problem-solving

    Understanding of lightweight construction methodologies

    High attention to detail & disciplined documentation workflow

    Preferred but not essential:

    • 2+ years experience detailing timber or steel framing
    • Residential or commercial construction background
    • Practical manufacturing/production awareness (a bonus)
    • Training on workflows, software and framing systems is provided.
