Job summary
This position shall be responsible for managing the operations of National Operations Control Center NOCC which includes maximizing revenue from generation based on available resources minimizing generation losses establishing sound stakeholder engagement between external contacts maintaining industry standard availability reliability and plant efficiency factors.Responsibilities
- Manages overall operations including formulation execution evaluation of strategies processes systems to achieve groups goals.
- Develops plans strategies through coordination meetings with internal external customers effectively manage manpower resources maximize generation establish goals objectives priorities for NOCC operations track maintain records site performance downtime events substation events assess evaluate plant availability reliability efficiency reports plant performance production budget commitments update other relevant information/reports required by immediate superior prepares operational budgets allocates resources efficiently effectively controls operation costs implements cost saving measures encourages reduction kilowatt-hour losses introduces Quality Improvement Projects multi-skilled personnel monitors monthly expenditures provides variance explanations Management as needed develops relationships communicates external stakeholders customers site managers authorities utility representatives establishes affinity promotes customer focus ensures integrity quality reports whether internal consumption stores documents maintains confidentiality integrity electrical records necessary performs other related duties assigned immediate superior consistent purpose role supervises employees ensure adherence safety regulations policies assists formulation company policies procedures safety rules regulations ensures implementation assets manages maintains asset registry spares management system coordination SCM conducts periodic audits NOCC procedures includes safety aspects non-conformance reports documented corrective measures implemented ensures compliance plants Grid Code EPIRA Law ERC NGCP PSALM WESM requirements emergency response management plans risks managed mitigated leads optimization NOCC Systems value adding perspective reviews regulatory circulars amendment comments alignment current operational strategies provides Operational Strategies aligned market operations Philippine Grid code maximizes generation reviews regulatory circulars amendment comments alignment current operational strategies timely seamless integration new powerplants ORR readiness integrates new powerplants agreed ORR complies company policies procedures practices adheres evaluates subordinate performance basis determines level areas improvement conformance Integrated Management Systems standards procedures guidelines delivers intended outputs promotes customer throughout organization protects information assets unauthorized access disclosure modification destruction interference stores documents forms contracts manuals books locked storage rooms steel cabinets maintains confidentiality integrity all electrical records necessary creates contracts information security clauses conformity Information Management Systems Policies Guidelines maintains project cost estimates feasibility studies design drawings calculations related documents performs adhoc projects acquisition upcoming etc plants providing Operational grid perspective minimum bachelor degree engineering preferably post graduate diploma master licensed engineer five years related work experience renewable energy ROR wind solar five supervisory managerial experience strong leadership analytical verbal non-verbal communication skill extensive knowledge Philippine Grid Code Electrical WESM Rules Manuals Dispatch Protocol regulatory resolutions circulars relation ERC NGCP DOE.
