The Fresh Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Fresh Department (Meat, Seafood, Fruits & Vegetables, and Deli/Bakery) to ensure product quality, proper handling, food safety compliance, and excellent customer service. The role supports inventory accuracy, display standards, and operational efficiency to maintain freshness and minimize wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the quality and freshness of all fresh department products.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of perishable items (FIFO implementation).
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse team for timely delivery of fresh items.
• Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and wastage control.
• Ensure proper merchandising and attractive product displays.
• Support pricing updates and product labeling accuracy.
• Address customer inquiries and provide assistance when needed.
• Prepare daily reports on stock levels, spoilage, and department performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Technology, Hospitality Management, or any related course.
• At least 1 year of experience in supermarket operations or fresh food handling is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in inventory management and food safety practices.
• Computer literate and detail-oriented.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
