- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but notlimited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy andcompleteness and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoingtraining, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports orstatements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles andassess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations forimprovements.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Has at least 2 years working experience as an Accounting Manager,Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices,standards, laws and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it beingin a supervisory role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of anorganization.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
