Job description:
- Assists in admitting new patients and orients/directs patients and family in the unit and transport patient for discharge.
- Takes and records accurately temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, food and fluid intake and output as directed.
- Keeps head nurse or charge nurse informed about patients, activities of department, problems and needs in assigned work area.
- Answers signal lights or intercom system to determine patient's needs.
- Bathes and changes patient dress, gown or diaper.
- Collects specimen/s (e.g. stool, urine, sputum etc.) for laboratory testing.
- Helps patients with walkers, wheel chairs and overall helping the patient get around safely.
- Turns and repositions bedridden patients alone or with assistance to prevent bedsores.
- Makes sure that the linens of the patients are being changed in a timely manner and as patients need. To ensure that the patients surrounding is tidy and clean.
- Assists patients during their meal times. Help serve meals to patients especially to those who are not able to feed themselves. Making sure that they are positioned safely to prevent aspiration or being choked.
- Assists the nurse in getting supplies by running errands to other departments of the hospital.
- Sees the equipment's in clean and in good working condition prior to use.
- Helps maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the unit.
- May assists in providing medical treatment and personal care to patients in private settings.
- Assists the nurse in emergency situation (code blue)
- Assists the nurses in Post Mortem Care
- Complies with infection control and safety standard.
- Monitors Oxygen for replacement and informs nurses for
- charging of oxygen.
Educational Qualification and Licensures
- Preferably Graduate of Caregiver or equivalent course in a CHED accredited college or university; Nursing graduate who's yet to pass the licensure exam
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php19,000.00 per month
