About The Role

You will be a member of the Global Business Development team - with a focus on FX and Partnership teams at Zepz APAC. The role holder will be responsible for assisting in the analysis and development of the firm's FX activities, as well as supporting business development opportunities & partnership management across the region. The role will also help develop and support launch markets, and will contribute to the strategy and design of evolving systems and processes.

The role will also entail looking into future potential markets, driving forward business development and assisting in commercial negotiations. As a result, you will receive exposure to different parts of the business, working alongside various teams - both internal and external to the company.

What You Will Own

Dual reporting into the APAC Heads of FX and of Business Development, you will:

• Support the business development and FX teams with partner relationship management in existing APAC markets across banks, telcos, fintechs and aggregators;
• Work with partners to identify ways to grow together, while ensuring that we are compliant with local regulations and operationally sound;
• Research, identify and suggest new country and product launches for the firm;
• Drive forward revenue generating initiatives, getting involved in commercial negotiations and onboarding new partners;
• Execute FX trades with counterparties including banks and clients;
• Collaboration with the treasury teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of trades / trade settlements;
• Analysing and interpreting data to create visibility for internal and external stakeholders
• Driving improvement and automation of organisational processes;
• Working extensively with commercial and finance partners to drive existing and new business opportunities

What you bring to the table:

• Act like an owner with a bias to action;
• Strong & relevant academic background;
• Early career experience in FX or global financial markets businesses;
• Proven working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint; comfort with adapting to firm's chosen tech tools for a remote environment like Slack, Google drive, SQL and other systems as necessary;
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively;
• Analytical and logical approach to problem solving with a high level of attention to detail;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; other languages a plus but not necessary;

Additional Points:

• We will give you exposure to the APAC payments system from cross-border remittances to an understanding of the nuances of national payment systems, from Pakistan to Fiji, and China to Australia;
• Build up a network and familiarity with the payment ecosystem in APAC from banks, wallets and fintechs to regional and global aggregators;
• Global exposure and the ability to work with cross-functional colleagues across the world.
