ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the company's vision and is suitable for broadcasting Ultimately, as a Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive storyRESPONSIBILITIES:
Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audienceTake a brief to grasp company needs and specificationsTrim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film if neededInput music, dialogues, graphics and effectsCreate rough and final cutsEnsure logical sequencing and smooth runningContinuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
Mac user preferred, knowledgeable in iMovie or Finalcut ProProven work experience as a Video EditorSolid experience with digital technology and editing software packagesDemonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolioThorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuityFamiliarity with special effects, 3D and compositingCreative mind and storytelling skills
