Job Description

As a
Senior ETL Developer
, you will design, build, and optimize secure data pipelines using Snowflake, Matillion, and Fivetran, translate evolving business requirements into scalable ETL solutions, and support SDLC processes from development through production migration.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, API connectivity, and ETL
• Experience working with
  Snowflake, Matillion, and Fivetran for data integration and transformation
• Experience collaborating with business and IT users to gather requirements and deliver solutions through data connections, source-to-target mapping, and data profiling
• Aptitude for researching data connections and API functions and parameters for new application integrations
• Ability to interpret complex data requirements and communicate technical recommendations clearly
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Banking Financial Industry preferred)

Your Daily Tasks

• Review data and ETL requirements and work with DBA to validate or extend data models based on new requirements
• Create DDL for new objects and attributes as required and review with DBA and Data Architect
• Provide detailed design documents in accordance with SDLC requirements
• Create ETL workflows and objects, and perform unit and system testing with proper documentation
• Work with IT to migrate code between test, UAT, and production environments
• Establish secure connections between data sources using Matillion and Snowflake under appropriate security protocols
• Design, develop, and implement ETL jobs using Matillion ETL to extract data through API-based pipelines and data extracts
• Cleanse, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Design and implement data quality checks and error handling routines within ETL jobs
• Document ETL processes thoroughly for maintenance and knowledge transfer
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand evolving data requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Stay up to date with advancements in Snowflake and Matillion ETL technologies
• Utilize Fivetran to create additional data connections and ETL programs
