- Build, configure, and manage our new Databricks platform to support BI reporting.
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across legacy and live systems.
- Lead technical data migration efforts, including the decommissioning of outdated systems.
- Establish and uphold data quality, governance, and performance best practices.
- Partner with BI, IT, and business units to integrate new data sources and optimise data workflows.
- A fully operational and well-architected Databricks platform.
- Accurate and secure migration of data from legacy systems.
- High-quality, structured, and accessible datasets for BI and analytics.
- Scalable and efficient data integration processes that support future growth.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, or similar modern data platforms.
- Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development, data modelling, and data integration.
- Experience working with SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud data architectures.
- Solid understanding of data governance, quality, and performance optimisation.
- Experience working with BI/analytics teams is an advantage.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to establish and manage our new Databricks environment, building the technical foundation for all future reporting and analytics initiatives. This role will be instrumental in designing and developing robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration of data from both legacy and current systems, and enabling a scalable, future-proof data ecosystem.
You will work closely with the BI Team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver clean, reliable, and well-structured datasets that support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
