- Providing day-to-day support to the Underwriting team across a range of tasks
- Working closely with Brokers and Clients to make sure we have all the right information to kick off the underwriting process
- Partnering with our Catastrophe Modelling and Actuarial teams on pricing targets
- Making sure all work aligns with underwriting guidelines and company standards
- Reviewing and preparing contract wordings, checking language, clauses, and subjectivities
- Managing the workflow for all deals within the business unit
- Keeping electronic files updated and organized
- Processing bound submissions and endorsements in the SICS Accounting System
- Assisting Accounting and Claims with premium or loss-related questions
- Helping out with internal and external audit requests
- Working collaboratively with teams such as Claims, Accounts, and Legal
- Meeting departmental service standards, especially around underwriting guidelines and file compliance
- Taking on additional tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Supporting and mentoring new team members as they settle in
