Job Summary
The Sales Operations Specialist supports the sales team by managing pricing data, maintaining accurate sales records, assisting in project costing, and ensuring efficient preparation of quotations and bid documents. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes that improve overall sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain the master price list to ensure accurate and up-to-date catalogue numbers and pricing.
- Clean, standardize, and improve Google Sheet templates used for quotations and costing.
- Maintain and regularly update prospect databases and sales tracking records.
- Assist in project costing, preparation of bid submissions, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with the sales team to monitor opportunities and follow up with potential clients.
- Ensure data accuracy and organization across all sales-related files and reports.
- Identify workflow issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (tables, formulas, and data organization).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with understanding of basic costing concepts (profit and markup).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive and solutions-driven mindset; able to identify issues and suggest improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Graduate of Business Administration, Marketing, or a related course (preferred but not required).
