    Job Description: As a Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with New Zealand accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis. You will work closely with our client's finance team to support their accounting needs and contribute to their business success. The role is full time and you must be available between 6 am and 4 pm Manila time to work seamlessly with the New Zealand client.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accounting & Compliance: Manage and oversee client financial records, ensuring adherence to New Zealand accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for accuracy and completeness.
    • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns, manage tax compliance, and provide guidance on tax-related matters in accordance with New Zealand tax laws.
    • Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their accounting inquiries, providing financial advice, and maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making for clients and the company.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is required.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on New Zealand accounting practices.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with remote work tools is a plus.
    • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of New Zealand accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
    • Self-motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
