    JOB OVERVIEW

    The role is part of our Finance team and will be reporting into the Finance Director. The financial accounting and reporting officer will be responsible for the financial accounting and reporting lifecycle for Singlife Philippines. Apart from being responsible for the process, the role will be the SME for the core financial systems used by the Finance team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    • Take a leadership role in executing projects driving continuous improvement on efficiency of Finance processes such as month-end closing, accounts payable, etc
    • Be the SME for the key financial system used by Finance
    • Support the team throughout month-end processes to ensure reporting deadlines are met
    • Prepare month-end journals
    • Preparation of monthly management accounts and other ad-hoc financial reports
    • Providing monthly financial statement commentaries
    • Responsible for the upkeep of monthly spend trackers within the wider business to ensure completeness and consistency in month-end reporting
    • Interface with key stakeholders as the need may arise

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Accounting degree holder (CPA preferred)
    • Continuous improvement mindset and familiar with key & emerging technologies
    • Strong overall technical accounting knowledge of GAAP, including experience in insurance operations & accounting
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce
    • Demonstrated responsiveness to internal and external clients
