General Accountant - Philippines

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies Billing & Receivables
- Support client billing processes and invoice tracking
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments and maintain accurate client account records Payables & Expense Management
- Process vendor invoices and payments
- Maintain vendor records and documentation
- Assist with expense tracking and cost allocation Trust Accounting (if applicable)
- Maintain and reconcile client trust accounts in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Track disbursements, and balances
- Prepare trust reports and documentation for review Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Support audit preparation and documentation requests
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls
- Assist with accounting system maintenance and data integrity
Qualifications
- CPA (Preferred)
- Excellent English communication skills (Oral and Written)
- End to end bookkeeping experience
- Must have experience with 3 way reconciliation of Trust Funds for Law Firm
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with QuickBooks, including recording and categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, ensuring compliance with international and US accounting standards.
- Proficient in working with spreadsheets, particularly Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis.
- Willingness and ability to work in the US time zone to accommodate business needs.
- Hard requirement (Experience using Clio, ClickUP, and QBO)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
