About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant specializing in Personal Injury to support U.S.-based law firms. You will assist with pre-litigation and litigation cases, manage case files, communicate with clients and medical providers, and prepare legal documents under attorney supervision.
This role is fully remote, requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize personal injury case files, medical records, accident reports, and insurance documents
- Track case deadlines, statutes of limitations, and settlement timelines
- Draft demand letters, intake summaries, settlement packages, and basic pleadings (under supervision)
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters
- Assist with discovery, lien resolution, and billing documentation
- Update case management systems such as Clio, MyCase, Filevine, or Litify
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience supporting Personal Injury cases
- Knowledge of pre-litigation and litigation processes, demand packages, and medical/billing summaries
- Proficiency with legal case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with U.S.-based Personal Injury law firms
- Familiarity with contingency fee structures, lien resolution, and settlement disbursement
- Experience preparing medical chronologies or demand summaries
