Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role requires technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect forklifts and identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil change, filter replacement, lubrication, etc.)
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, steering, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and battery-related concerns
- Replace defective parts and components
- Conduct safety checks and ensure equipment meets operational standards
- Maintain service and repair records
- Respond to emergency breakdowns
- Coordinate with warehouse or operations team regarding equipment status
Qualifications
- High school diploma or vocational/technical certification in Automotive or Heavy Equipment Technology
- Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic
- Knowledge of diesel, gasoline, and electric forklifts
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy parts
- With TESDA certification (preferred, if applicable)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php22,000.00 per month
