Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist  

Industry: Commercial Janitorial Services

Schedule: 4 hours daily (Mon-Fri)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping and requires strong analytical skills, financial reporting expertise, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting records, financial statements, and tax documentation
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for business operations and budgets
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Analyze financial performance and present insights and findings to management
• Develop and improve internal financial processes and procedures for greater efficiency
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support budget planning and forecasting
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper, Accounting Specialist, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or other ERP tools)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required

Nice to Have

• Experience with tax preparation and regulatory compliance
• Background in supporting small businesses or startups
• Familiarity with automation tools or workflow optimization
