    We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical SEO Developer to support our technical SEO execution, website performance optimisation, and SEO-focused development initiatives.

    Overview

    As an SEO Web Developer, you will work closely with our SEO specialists, designers, and project teams to implement technical SEO improvements at the code and platform level. Your role is critical in ensuring websites are crawlable, fast, structured correctly, and optimised for long-term organic growth.

    Responsibilities:

    Technical SEO & Indexing

    • Fix crawl and indexing issues, including XML sitemaps, , canonical tags, and Search Console errors.
    • Troubleshoot SERP display issues such as missing favicons, meta tags, or schema enhancements.

    Automation & Template Development

    • Build and maintain scalable Liquid/PHP templates to automate meta tags, alt text, and structured data across large product and collection pages.

    Core Web Vitals & Performance

    • Audit and improve site performance metrics including LCP, CLS, and INP.
    • Implement best practices for caching, image optimisation, script loading, and frontend speed improvements.

    Technical Audits & Fix Implementation

    • Execute technical SEO fixes such as resolving 4xx/5xx errors, redirect issues, duplicate content, and canonical setups.
    • Support SEO-safe website launches and migrations, including 301 redirect implementation and post-launch validation.

    Platform & CMS Management

    • Handle backend technical tasks across Shopify (Liquid) and WordPress (PHP/plugins).
    • Support additional CMS platforms when needed (bonus).

    Internal Website Development Support

    • Build and maintain SEO-oriented internal sites such as blogs, press pages, and landing pages for marketing and growth initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
    • Experience with Liquid (Shopify) and/or PHP (WordPress).
    • Expert knowledge of structured data implementation (JSON-LD).
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and fix SEO-related issues at source code level.
    • Familiarity with technical SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Lighthouse, or PageSpeed Insights is a plus.

    Bonus Points For:

    • Experience with WP Rocket or advanced caching/performance optimisation layers.
    • Experience with other CMS platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, or Joomla.
    • Familiarity with GA4/GTM implementation during site builds or migrations.
