The Tax Associate ensures full tax and regulatory compliance of the company and its branches by managing BIR filings, business permits, and tax reporting, while supporting month-end tax accounting and branch compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance (BIR)

Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (withholding tax, VAT, income tax) via eBIR/EFPS
Maintain tax schedules, 2307 monitoring, and VAT Relief reports
Record and monitor all tax payments and BIR audit requirements (LOA)

Business Permits & Regulatory Compliance

Process and renew business permits and licenses for all branches (LGU, barangay, fire, zoning, NTC, etc.)
Ensure timely SEC submissions (GIS, Audited FS)
Monitor posting and recording of permit and license payments

Month-End Tax Accounting

Prepare VAT allocations, tax accruals, and income tax provisions
Update tax-related reconciliations (BSAR) and review tax accounts
Record and validate tax payments and balances

Branch Tax Compliance & Support

Monitor branch BIR books, receipts, and permit display compliance
Support accreditation and tax documentation requirements
Assist branches on tax-related transactions and onboarding guidance

Reporting & Compliance

Escalate tax or regulatory issues immediately upon discovery
Ensure adherence to tax laws, company policies, and regulatory deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Tech, or Finance
1–3 years experience in tax or general accounting
Familiar with BIR filings, permits, and compliance processes
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and monitoring skills
