    Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include:

    • Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs
    • Researching potential suppliers
    • Tracking orders and ensuring timely deliveryResponsibilities
    • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
    • Research potential suppliers
    • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
    • Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
    • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
    • Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
    • Prepare cost analyses
    • Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
    • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change ordersLiaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.

    Qualifications for Purchasing AssistantCollege levelExperience working as a purchasing assistant in the industry is preferredGood understanding of popular products in the industryStrong knowledge of industry market trends and conditionsExcellent interpersonal and social skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsPositive and professional demeanorFlexible to travel to meet with suppliers, distributors and manufacturers as requiredRequirements and skillsWork experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officeror similar role ( hard ware / Ware house)Good understanding of supply chain proceduresHave knowledge of MS Excel and WordKnowledge of construction materialsSolid organizational skillsAt least 1 year experience as purchaser or any work related in procurement.
