An Assistant Vice president is expected to:
Highest level of attention to detail while executing every task, strict adherence to Policy and expected timelines/turnaround times
Proven track record of excellent results and no mistakes while processing daily tasks in previous role and continue to operate impeccably
Responsible for checking non-BNY banking portals (creating, deleting, re-setting users globally, keeping users' registers for audit purposes, authorized signatories) and approving changes in the banking portal
Monitor overall workflow and preform daily touch base to ensure all transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Reviewing as 2nd approver/releaser all transactions into the banking system (FX, CCP), Clearline and internal transfers
Review of daily bank reconciliations and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
Review and sign off of clients' audit confirmations
Review/Approval of account opening and closing - liaising with BSA team to open/close accounts
Team management, exercise leadership, motivation, commitment and goals. Provide feedback and escalating performance issues to the Cash Ops Manager
Responding to audit requests from the external and internal auditors
Liaising with CSPs on escalation matters, monitoring and planning deliverables
Understand and apply effective project planning, coordination and control methods
Liaise with all banks administered globally
Assist in recruiting selection of candidates

What it takes to be part of our team:

Proficient in financial protocols and codes: SWIFT, ABA, IBAN, and sort codes.

Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance:
OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control), AML (Anti-Money Laundering).

Familiar with financial instruments:
interest rates, time deposits, and foreign-currency transactions.
Understanding of Purpose of Payment (POP) in transactions.

Knowledge of regulatory bodies:
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), FED (Federal Reserve), and AML regulations.

Awareness of banking terms:

Global Systemically Important Bank (G-SIB), Omnibus banking, sweep account, Management fee, Performance fee, capital call, subscriptions, redemptions, portfolio transactions, internal transfers, FXs.

Experience in Bank Reconciliation processes.
Proficient in maintaining an Audit Trail.
Familiarity with ACH (Automated Clearing House) transactions.
Understanding of technical and specialist processes required to execute work within own department and/or function.
Competent use of Maples' applications and systems.
Confidence in delivering improvements by introducing or enhancing systems.
Ability to communicate a motivating and inspiring vision for the future.
Skill in sharing goals and celebrating success with the team.
Motivating the team by connecting individual tasks with organizational goals.
