Job Title: Tax Accountant
Location: On-site
Shift: Night Shift
Compensation: Up to 44,900 MBS + Benefits
A dynamic opportunity is available for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support multi-state sales and use tax compliance. This role is essential in ensuring accurate tax reporting, conducting tax research, and supporting internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate compliance with multi-state sales and use tax regulations.
Perform general ledger reconciliations related to tax accounts.
Analyze product taxability and ensure correct tax treatment.
Communicate with internal and external auditors regarding sales, use, and rental tax matters.
Prepare and submit monthly tax reports for state and local tax authorities.
Manage and execute special projects and reports as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience working with multi-state sales and use tax.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Oracle and Vertex is an advantage.
Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy in work.
Capable of conducting tax technical research independently.
Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
High integrity and sound judgment with a strong work ethic.
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Thrives in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
