    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory and Cost Accountant/Engineer to oversee all aspects of inventory management and cost accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory records, analyzing cost variances, and implementing effective cost control measures. This role is critical in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Inventory Management:

    • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and distribution processes.
    • Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
    • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to forecast inventory needs and plan accordingly.

    Cost Accounting:

    • Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems and processes.
    • Analyze and report on cost variances, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
    • Prepare and present detailed cost analysis and reports to management.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to inventory and cost accounting.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of inventory and cost accounting professionals.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
    • Provide training and support to staff on inventory and cost accounting best practices.
