    Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for mental health and a commitment to making a positive impact on individuals' lives We're seeking dedicated professionals like you to join our dynamic team in the crucial role of a Mental Health Nurse.

    Responsibilities

    • Intake Assessments: Perform comprehensive and empathetic assessments of individuals seeking mental health services, either through phone or in-person interactions, to gather essential information about their mental health concerns and treatment needs.
    • Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate crisis intervention and emotional support to clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being while maintaining a calming and non-judgmental demeanor
    • Triage Evaluation: Assess the urgency and severity of clients' mental health concerns to determine the most suitable level of care, whether it involves outpatient counseling, psychiatric evaluation, or referrals to emergency services
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) and intake documentation, including assessment findings, client information, and recommended treatment plans, adhering to all relevant privacy and confidentiality regulations
    • Resource Referral: Connect clients with appropriate mental health services, resources, and community support programs based on their unique needs, ensuring they have access to the appropriate care and assistance.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clinical staff, psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated, client-centered care plans
    • Psychoeducation: Provide clients and their families with information about available mental health services, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their mental health journey.
    • Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls or appointments as necessary to monitor client progress, address any emerging concerns, and ensure continuity of care

    Qualifications

    • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license
    • A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in mental health or psychiatric nursing.
    • Strong assessment and triage skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
