- Lead the cloud design and implementation/engineering efforts, translating business requirements into robust and scalable GCP cloud architecture, with a primary focus on cost-effectiveness and performance trade-offs.
- Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and best practices using Terraform and Helm Charts.
- Define the roadmap and strategy for the use of core GCP services, including GKE, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Ingress, and Redis.
- Oversee and perform hands-on implementation and configuration of complex cloud environments.
- Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies utilizing tools such as GitLab, Cloud Build, JFrog (e.g., Artifactory), and Argo (e.g., ArgoCD).
- Drive the adoption of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and advanced container orchestration patterns.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Cloud Engineers on technical best practices, troubleshooting, and architectural decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering (C4E) and development teams to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness.
- Implement and monitor cost management practices, ensuring efficient resource utilization and providing recommendations for optimization.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with significant time spent leading projects or teams.
- Deep, hands-on architectural and implementation experience across the required GCP services (GKE, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Ingress, Redis).
- IaC Mastery: Expert proficiency with Terraform and Helm.
- DevOps/CI/CD Tools: Advanced experience with the complete CI/CD toolchain: GitLab, Cloud Build, JFrog, and Argo.
- Containerization: Extensive, hands-on experience designing and managing production workloads on GKE or other Kubernetes distributions.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, communicate complex technical concepts effectively, and drive consensus across technical teams.
