- Mandatory Filings: Oversee and execute all critical regulatory submissions, including monthly CCAM Close, monthly GST, and annual Tax Computation and XBRL filing.
- Annual & Quarterly Reports: Lead the preparation and consolidation of all comprehensive quarterly (e.g., QMR, PACs, MAS Quarterly Data) and annual reports (e.g., AFS preparation, Annual Reports, DOWU, MOF flash).
- Capital & Equity: Manage monthly calculations and reporting for Regulatory Capital and Equity Ratios Files, ensuring full compliance.
- Ad-Hoc Compliance: Coordinate and respond to ad-hoc inquiries and surveys from regulatory bodies (e.g., MAS Surveys).
- Month-End Close (MEC): Perform month-end close finance operations, including the rigorous checking of financial transactions, payments in the ledger, and account reconciliations.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Oversee management accounting duties, including cost tracking (weekly), generating GL data, managing accrual schedules, processing Intra Group Fees (quarterly), and leading the annual Budget Exercise.
- Internal Controls: Identify control gaps, implement necessary key controls, and ensure all finance processes and controls are adequately documented and operating effectively.
- System Liaison: Liaise actively with the Technology team to ensure all accounting system issues are logged and closed out in an appropriate time frame, and participate in system UAT and ad-hoc projects.
- Strategic Reporting: Prepare and finalize high-level management decks (e.g., Monthly Board Newsletter, RPT deck for AC, HR Report) and Transfer Pricing Documentation (annual).
- Guidance & Mentorship: Provide timely accounting guidance on relevant topics and update accounting papers/guidance as necessary.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience, preferably within a regulated financial institution or investment banking function, with direct exposure to complex financial and regulatory reporting.
- Education: Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related business course.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial statements, and familiarity with Credit and Loan Products. Demonstrated experience managing and processing high-volume transactional data.
- Compliance Mindset: Proven ability to manage multi-jurisdictional reporting (e.g., GST, Tax, MAS/PACs) and ensure strict adherence to deadlines (SLA-driven work ethic).
- Process Leadership: Track record of identifying and executing improvements/automation of month-end close processes.
- Core Competencies: Excellent English communication (verbal and written), keen attention to detail, highly organized, proactive, motivated, and capable of delivering high-quality output with minimal supervision.
