Job Summary
The Demand Planner is responsible for creating accurate demand forecasts, analyzing market trends, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand. This role requires strong analytical skills and close coordination with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams. The Demand Planner uses data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency, minimize costs, and enhance service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data, market trends, and seasonal variations to develop accurate forecasts for production and inventory planning
- Inventory Management: Monitor and adjust inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, marketing, and production teams on promotions, product launches, and other demand drivers
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate reports on forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and demand trends; provide insights for continuous process improvement
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in demand planning processes
- Supply Chain Coordination: Communicate forecasts and inventory plans to procurement and supply chain teams for timely availability of materials and products
- Risk Management: Anticipate potential supply or demand disruptions and collaborate on contingency plans
- Technology Utilization: Leverage demand planning software, ERP systems, and statistical forecasting tools for accurate and efficient planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably in F&B or consumer goods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in statistical analysis
- Proficiency in demand planning software, ERP systems, and MS Excel
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing demands
- Knowledge of F&B industry trends, inventory management, and demand planning processes
- Available to start ASAP
