    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Web Application Testing

    • Execute functional testing of React/TypeScript web applications across browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
    • Perform regression testing for every sprint release to ensure existing features remain unaffected.
    • Test responsive design across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.
    • Validate state management flows, form validations, navigation, and complex UI interactions.
    • Verify frontend integration with backend APIs, including data fetching, error handling, and loading states.
    • Test authentication and authorization flows such as login, signup, role-based access, and session management.

    API Testing

    • Test RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Postman; validate request/response schemas, status codes, and error handling.
    • Execute API integration testing to verify data flow between frontend, backend services, and databases.
    • Validate API authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT tokens) and authorization (RBAC).
    • Test API edge cases including invalid inputs, rate limiting, pagination, large payloads, and concurrent requests.
    • Maintain and update Postman collections and environments for all API endpoints.
    • Verify database state changes after API operations (PostgreSQL and MongoDB validation).

    Test Documentation & Automation Contribution

    • Write detailed test cases in ADO Test Plans with clear preconditions, steps, and expected results.
    • Document bugs with comprehensive reproduction steps, screenshots/recordings, environment details, and severity levels.
    • Contribute to test automation under the guidance of the Automation Lead by writing Playwright and Postman automated tests.
    • Maintain test data and test environment configurations.
    • Participate in bug triage meetings and provide input on defect priority from a testing perspective.

    Collaboration & Process

    • Participate in daily Manila stand-up meetings (9:00 AM PHT) and sprint ceremonies.
    • Coordinate with India-based developers for bug clarification, retesting, and feature understanding.
    • Follow ADO handoff protocols and document all test results and notes in work items.
    • Utilize AI-assisted tools to generate test cases, analyze results, and improve testing efficiency.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2–4 years of QA experience in web and API testing.
    • Strong experience in web application testing, including cross-browser testing, responsive design validation, and functional testing.
    • Hands-on API testing using Postman (collections, environments, assertions, pre/post-request scripts).
    • Experience with ADO or similar tools for test plans, test suites, bug tracking, and work item management.
    • Solid understanding of application architecture, particularly how React frontends consume NestJS/Python APIs.
    • Basic SQL knowledge with the ability to write SELECT queries to validate database states (PostgreSQL).
    • Strong bug reporting skills with clear, detailed, and reproducible reports including screenshots and environment details.
    • Systematic testing approach using techniques such as boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and decision tables.
    • Experience using AI tools to generate test cases and improve testing efficiency.
    • Good English communication skills for clear documentation and cross-team collaboration.

    NICE TO HAVE

    • Experience with Playwright or Selenium automation scripting.
    • Basic knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript for reading and understanding application code.
    • Experience with GraphQL API testing.
    • ISTQB Foundation certification.
    • Experience in healthcare or e-commerce application testing.
