- Analyzes and assesses existing business systems and procedures
- Defines, develops, and documents the system's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
- Writes, translates, and codes software programs and applications according to specifications.
- Designs and manages application databases, backups and recoveries.
- Recommends, schedules, and performs systems improvements and upgrades.
- Researches, identifies, analyzes, and fulfills requirements of all internal and external program users
- Works actively with other department leads and facilitates the information flow.
- Trains end users to operate new or modified programs
- Installs system applications for end users as required.
- Identifies risks and provides relevant solutions to complex problems.
- Conducts research on emerging application development tools languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Creates workflow diagrams and charts to demonstrate the functionality of programs before coding them.
- Runs software tests to spot and resolve bugs and inconsistencies.
- Works with team members to find creative, innovative solutions to problems.
- Collaborates with other departments to understand their needs and devises ways to accommodate them with software.
- Writes and continually updates documentation for all programs for internal and external reference.
- Supports enterprise and legacy applications
- Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate.
- Fully adheres to the company's code of discipline.
- Performs other tasks that the IT Head and/or TSG Head may assign from time to time
