The Role
London, UK (Fully Remote)
3 PM–12 AM PHT (Mid-shift)
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to lead the technical execution of our web projects. You will be responsible for building high-performance websites using Elementor One, maintaining and migrating legacy Avada sites, and pioneering Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) across our portfolio of 50+ clients.
Responsibilities
- Build fast, responsive, and clean websites using Elementor One/Pro while maximizing native features to minimize plugin bloat.
- Maintain and troubleshoot legacy websites built on Avada, with a focus on migrating them to Elementor when appropriate.
- Implement advanced Technical SEO and GEO strategies using markup (JSON-LD), semantic HTML, and AI-friendly content structures designed for generative engine discovery.
- Optimize performance to ensure websites consistently achieve "Green" Core Web Vitals.
- Manage domain setups, DNS records, and hosting environments across staging and production.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of web development experience with a proven ability to manage full website lifecycles.
- Expert-level skills in WordPress, Elementor One/Pro, and HTML5/CSS3.
- Proficiency in PHP (theme hooks/functions), JavaScript/jQuery, and SQL for troubleshooting and customization.
- Hands-on experience maintaining Avada sites and using tools such as Yoast or RankMath, WP Rocket, and Cloudflare.
- Deep understanding of structured data and how search engines and AI engines interpret and parse web pages.
- Ability to convert Figma or Adobe XD wireframes into pixel-perfect Elementor builds and enhance them with functionality, movement, and animation
