Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Highway and Drainage design-related tasks for the Australian Business Unit.
• Preparation / Finalization of various highway and Drainage related drawings at various stages of projects.
• Computation of quantities.
• Preparation of design reports.
• Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
• Develop and grow team capabilities as per business requirements.
• Coaching and mentoring team members.
• Ability to lead and design projects.
• Have handled a minimum of 3 major design projects (overseas) with multi-disciplinary coordination preferably for International Infrastructure Business.
• In-depth experience of International Projects and must be conversant with international specifications and standards (DMRB ASSHTO, AusRoads).
• Engaging with various regional offices/ teams regarding resolving issues and creating strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions.
• Mentor the team to adopt safe and sustainable design processes and identify improvements in the wider business.

The Successful Applicant

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a Master's in Engineering (Desirable)
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Design Consulting Environment
• Minimum of 8 years' experience for International Highway Design Projects with direct experience on Australia projects) in delivering various design and modelling tasks for Highways and associated infrastructure.
• Having work experience on Design & Build Projects is added advantage.
• Highway Design experience using industry standard systems such as Civil 3D/Open Road/12D and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
• Highway Design for various stages (Tender proposals, Concept, Preliminary, Detailed Design, construction) of Projects - Detailed design of Highway corridor, Detailed drawings, construction support drawings, Design Reviews, Project Management, and Design Management.
